Worth Noting

modern mothers

LAUREN SANTO DOMINGO. ELIZABETH CHAMBERS HAMMER. CAROLINA HERRERA.

Just a handful of the incredibly talented, influential and interesting humans, specifically women, specifically mothers profiled in Claiborne Swanson Frank's newest tome.

Mother and Child (which I have naturally already pre-ordered via Amazon) champions 70 influential and iconic modern mothers for your reading, and viewing, pleasure.

You're welcome.

Let Them Eat Açaí

I'm a firm believer that anyone who eats breakfast every day is likely a psychopath, but if Meghan insists, let us all eat our acai.

HOW TO MAKE MEGHAN'S AÇAÍ BOWL:

  • Blend one frozen açaí packet with 1/3 cup of almond milk, 1/2 banana, a handful of frozen berries.
  • This should be thick so add almond milk sparingly as you go.
  • Top with coconut flakes, fresh berries, sliced banana, a drizzle of manuka honey, sprinkle of bee pollen (if you want), and  serve immediately.

Noteworthy Nashville Native

I'm all for an Instagram worthy dining experience, and Nashville's newest, Henrietta Red is just that. It doesn't hurt that it's the brainchild of a Nashville Native and that it's received high praise from both Bon Appétit and the New York Times.

This Thursday, they are hosting a happy hour benefiting No Kid Hungry, which is all the more reason to give this newbie a try.

LYLAS, WWH

I first fell in love with Whitney Wolfe Herd while drooling over her Southern Italian wedding in the pages of Vogue (think hand-embroidered place settings customized for each and every guest - and an overdose of couture) which has since only developed after listening to NPR's How I Built This podcast episode on Bumble.

All this to say, I couldn't be more excited that she was named one of TIME magazine's 100 Most Influential People (alongside Elon Musk and Oprah, nbd.)

p.s. Bumble HQ in Austin, Texas looks like an absolute duh-ream. She gave Architectural Digest a tour here, and it's definitely worth your time.

America's high priestess has returned after her self-proclaimed #henweekend at 'thousand-acre private beachfront Four Seasons Resort community where elemental luxury and spirited adventure live together', Costa Palmas attended by besties Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney.
