the space

Simple. Modern. White... and bright. I'm a sucker for clean lines, symmetry (and marble!) so naturally, the design was right up my alley. Fresh flowers on every table don't hurt either.

the drinks

If we've met - you likely associate me with a love of champagne - so cava was the natural choice. It just so happens to be a mere $5.00 during Happy Hour.

After our meal I asked about a drink that came highly recommended (one with both grapefruit and St. Germain) and was disappointed to hear it was no longer on the menu. Moments later, however, it appeared before me and I must say it was exceptional. I'm drawing a blank on the name, but I will hunt it down and circle back.

the Food

HAPPY HOUR  |  Oysters (Point Aux Pins, Brass d'Or, Murder Point), Potato Chips with Sour Cream and Onion

Cannot recommend enough the Lemon Migonette. Divine.

DINNER  | Wood Fired Bread + Anchovy Butter,  Roasted Root Vegetable Salad, Seared Sea Scallops, Braised Rarebit

NEXT TIME  |  Seared Sea Scallops... They were perfectly cooked and the crunch of the fennel paired with the sweetness of the brown butter was exactly what I didn't know I needed. I raved about them for days and can't wait to enjoy them again.

The menu is inventive... intentional... seasonal. The beets and radishes in the Roasted Root Vegetable Salad were doubly pleasing - they tasted phenomenal and the presentation was unbelievable, aesthetically. Crisp, fresh, and flavorful: necessary requirements for a winning salad, in my humble opinion.

the parking

They have (a small amount) of parking at the end of the building on the right. There is also paid parking across the street.

the notes

We naively didn't even begin to consider making a reservation - but were lucky enough to be seated at a great table in the dining room... although I'm quite certain there is no 'bad' table. Our waiter was impossibly kind and so informative. A great experience - and one I look forward to having again soon. If you think I'm biased, you're wrong. They've been praised by the likes of Bon Appétit, The New York Times, and even Elle.

Check them out! Highly recommend.

If you've been, or decide to go, let me know what you decided on and what you thought!!
